Our commitment to your Health & Wellbeing

Achill Cliff House Hotel & Restaurant will re-open from Monday June 29th 2020.
Please note the following information on how we will manage our accommodation, our public areas and our team, to ensure guest and staff safety while adhering the Covid-19 guidelines.

THE FOLLOWING MEASURES WILL BE IN PLACE

Achill Cliff House Hotel & Restaurant Team:
• will maintain social distance at all times as per HSE guidelines. We have signs all around the hotels to gently remind us and you our guests to keep practising social distancing.
• will go through comprehensive training in hygiene and best practices regarding coronavirus prior to returning to work.
• will wash their hands as frequently as possible as well as sanitize their hands before and regularly during their working day
• We have received expert advice in relation to our cleaning agents and procedures in conjunction with our partners
• will use disposable service items as much as possible.
• have re-written our cleaning protocols to translate the best practices in HSE and Failte Ireland standards to our hotel guest rooms, public areas and staff areas
• will be working to ventilate the property so you may see more windows open throughout to keep air circulating and fresh.  

Guests staying with us
• guests need to declare that they do not have a temperature or are unwell on arrival. All guests will be asked to complete a self-declaration form on arrival.  We ask if you feel ill, please do not come into our Hotel. 
• all guests will be asked to social distance from staff & other guests at all times
• prior to arrival to the hotel you may expect a call asking for you an estimated time of arrival, this will allow us to manage our arriving and departing guests.
• upon arrival we would ask you to follow the signs and adhere to our new measures
• we ask guests with queries to phone us from their bedroom rather than presenting at the desk
• we kindly ask guests to use their toilet facilities in their bedrooms to reduce the usage on our public facilities
• parents must supervise and remain present with children at all times in hotel & restaurant
• we will have masks available for purchase for any guests who wish to avail of them

Cleaning of our Bedrooms
• all bedrooms & bathrooms will be deep cleaned daily
• our housekeeping staff have undergone retraining on the latest protocols and best practice standards in relation to PPE, physical distancing and new advanced cleaning techniques
• all surfaces and furniture will be cleansed and sanitised, in particular hygiene hotspots such as switches, electronic controls, handles, knobs and all hard surfaces.
• all linen & towels will be washed with additional bacterial cleaning agents
• Careful consideration has been given to the preparation and presentation of your room and you might find somethings different, all amenities within rooms have been removed we no longer offer tea/coffee making facilities, pens and paper as well as in room folders but are available on request by phoning reception
• all bedrooms will be sprayed with sanitiser after cleaning

Cleaning of our Public Areas
• hand sanitiser will be available in various points throughout the property
• we will have added soap options in our public toilets
• our management team will check all public areas frequently 
• all public areas will be deep cleaned on a daily basis
• all door handles & handrails will be washed and sprayed with sanitiser
• all linen & towels will be washed with additional bacterial cleaning agents
• sanitising stations to be located at numerous locations around the hotel such as inside the front door, at the entrance into restaurant and in bathrooms. You are asked to avail of them

Food & Drink service
• from June 29th we will be open for food service Breakfast 8.30am – 10am Dinner 5pm – 8pm daily
• all reservations for Dinner and Breakfast must be made prior to arrival
• all our restaurant and Public Areas will be re-arranged in order to meet social distance requirements.
• our team in the kitchen have undergone specific training and will be wearing the necessary PPE when preparing your food.
• tables will be available for a limited time, as per HSE guidelines
• all service (for food & drinks) will be done based on table service
• we can sell drinks (including alcohol) but it is only permitted with the consumption of food 
• guests/customers can consume beverages 30 minutes before food and 30 minutes after food
• tables will be cleaned and sanitised after use
• room service will not be available during this time
• guests will be served alcohol with their meal only at their table by their server.  

We are working in unique times with this situation. We are monitoring and implementing all government directives. We are constantly reviewing our operations to ensure guest and staff safety are our number one focus. Please understand that these new measures for YOUR safety as much as our staff and other guests and to ensure that everyone has a safe and pleasant experience with us at Achill Cliff House Hotel & Restaurant. Unfortunately, failure to co-operate with our new measures will leave us with no other option but to ask you to vacate the premises in the interests of public health.
